A group of short stories about Hasse and Nipa. The Japanese original can be found here.
Part 1[]
Nipa is annoyed that she is often mistaken for Hanna (Wind).
She brings in her own sweater so as to change her attire, because she had enough. She is being scolded by the higher-ups, which makes her even more pissed at Hanna.
Hanna on the other hand thinks that the sweater is not bad, back her up, and would like to wear one too. This is really not amusing! (Outburst of emotion)
Most of the youngsters are fond of Hanna, and keep their distance out of shyness. The ones from the same age group (mainly Eila) are messing with her: "Because you looks like Hanna, you can get more supplies (mainly sweets) from the Officer".
Then there is the story about the time when Hanna was shot down (see below), and how she was finally able to be honest with her.
Details of the shootdown incident - originally part of Wind's character profile -
Comradeship with Flight Sergeant Katajainen.
Because of their close resemblance, Hanna and Flight Sergeant Katajainen were often mistaken for one another and teased.
At the time of her enlistment, the Flight Sergeant could not look at Hanna with an unbiased open mind. On one hand, Hanna was very popular among her superiors and subordinates alike, and was a well-behaved top ace. On the other hand, she was seen as the Unit Crasher, "Unlucky" Katajainen.
As these relations continued, a group of Neuroi advanced into Suomus' airspace, and it became a large-scale air defense battle involving around ten witches.
In that battle, Hanna was shot and seriously injured. While the new recruits despaired at the sight of a top ace being shot down, and the situation seemed to be about to end in tragedy, Hanna shouted out some last words from the ground before losing consciousness.
"Don't break formation! We still have Nipa!"
Nipa responded admirably to these words. Literally covered in wounds and scratches, she brought all of the newly recruited witches back alive.
In an awkward gesture of appreciation, Nikka later brought her a matching sweater in the hospital. This also became yet another subject of teasing.
