A squadron based on the Isle of Wight in the English Channel. They seem to be in relation with the 501st Joint Fighter Wing.
Originally there was no air force base in the Isle of Wight, so their unit's patch is just a modified version of the army base emblem that was there before them.
The castle in the patch is the Carisbrooke castle.
