Jennifer J. DeBlanc (ジェニファー・J・デ・ブランク) is a Night Witch of the 506th Joint Fighter Wing, originating from Liberion.
Background[]
She likes to talk about the fact that she is a descendant of Hispanian nobles who migrated to Liberion. Because of her ancestors she was considered to be a suitable person for the 506th JFW, and was first considered to be assigned to A-unit. However, she moved to Gallia with another Liberion witch, and refused to go to the Sedan base. She wanted to go to the base in Dijon with the other Liberion witches and was assigned to the B-unit.
She hails from Lockport, Lafourche Parish, in Louisiana. As a child, Jennifer was stubborn, but slowly grew out of it as in her hometown she was "seen as the DeBlanc family's young lady," and wanted to live up to that ideal. She volunteered for the Marines in order to break out of her shell.
Because of her noble lineage, she was targeted by Chris Keera in order to further her mission in removing the Liberion witches from the 506th. Jennifer was intended to be a scapegoat for this mission by having Chris turn her in to Scotland Yard, subsequently having all the blame placed on her (and therefore Liberion) for the Sedan bombing as she would be marked as Chris' accomplice.
Chris managed to achieve her goals in labeling Jennifer as an accomplice by deliberately acting suspicious whenever Jennifer was around, thereby unconsciously persuading her into accompanying Chris and the Intelligence Department agents in their car. Thus when Chris killed the agents, Jennifer could easily be suspected as the accomplice since her fingerprints were on the bullets used in the murder.
However, Chris' plans to escape to Britannia with Jennifer were thwarted when Kuroda Kunika and Carla Luksic, along with Samantha Spade, and later with Perrine Clostermann and Lynette Bishop, rescued Jennifer.
Personality[]
Jennifer's character is described as being kind and gentle, to the point where Carla claimed she wouldn't even hurt a cockroach (when confronted with the possibility that Jennifer could have murdered the Intelligence Department agents she was traveling with when accompanying Chris Keera), and Chris described her as being "easy to manipulate."
However, when Jennifer confides in Chris about herself on the U-Boat where she was being kept hostage, she revealed that she hated these aspects of her personality, and describes herself as a fearful and jealous individual and "an ugly human being."
