Katharine O'Hare (キャサリン・オヘア ?, Kyasarin Ohea) is a Witch of the 507th Joint Fighter Wing, originating from Liberion and attached wit the Liberian Navy. She is nicknamed "Crasher O'Hare" due to the number of times she has lost Striker Units , no matter whether it was due to being shot at, crashing in flight, encountering engine trouble, other unforeseeable accidents or her own mistakes. Nikka Edvardine Katajainen has also earned similar nicknames, being called "Second coming of O'Hare" by Eila Ilmatar Juutilainen. In the Lexington, she was contemptuously referred as 'That Texan country girl' and 'Southern bumpkin'. Also, when she was in Suomus, Katharine used 'Liberion-1' as her callsign.
Her familiar is the Raccoon. However, during the Character Design stages by Shimada Humikane, her familiar was the Abyssinian.
Background
Katharine was born in the state of Texas, at south Liberion, in a farm, with her father being a Cows Farmer. She dreams to being a Witch of the Navy, and helps her father on the work.
Originally assigned to USS Lexington, her balance while flying was made considerably more difficulty by her bigger breasts. She crashed such Strikers, that was punished with three month suspension from flying. Katharine was sent to Suomus Independent Volunteer Squadron for crashing total of 63 Striker Units. Particulary, during a try of landing, she crashed in the hangar. The result was all eight of the newly issued F4F Wild Cats, destroyed, and her fellow Witches seriously injured. Homewer, she was the only one who managed to come out of that without a single injury.
Personality
Katharine is a bit of an airhead, often causing trouble by accident. A recurring gag is her inability to perceive countries outside the United States (an examplle being that she thought Fuso was located next to Florida). Despite these faults, she does try to get along with everyone. Optimist, bright, cheerful and sociable. She also was incapable for swimming, homewer, she loves the sea and the sky. She would be fine with anything, and likes cola and doing her nails. Katharine use blanks for the greetings, and dislikes cold.
She is most often seen together with Ursula Hartmann.
Abilities
Together with the toughness of the Striker Unit, Katherine had the strongest shield out of the Suomus Independent Volunteer Squadron.
Ace Archetype
Katharine is based on American flying ace Edward Henry “Butch” O’Hare. However, she holds a lot of differences with her archetype: Katharine is from Texas and Edward from St. Louis, Katharine's father was a cows farmer and Edward's was a lawyer, and more for his destroyed planes, Butch was famous for received the Medal of Honor for shooting down five medium bombers attacking USS Lexington early in the war, and also helped pioneer nightime flying in the American Navy.
Equipment
When she was on USS Lexington, she used F4F Wildcat Striker Unit. However, since she was crashing so many of the Strikers, Katherine was given older, but tougher Beerster F2A Buffalo. Which later received an engine swap from R-1820-34 to R-1820-40, gaining even more horsepower.
She uses Browning M2 Heavy Machine Gun in combat, and carries around Colt Single Action Army Revolver. She does like to draw her gun and randomly fire it, claming the rounds are"blank rounds", but in fact are live ammunition.

- Katharine holds a lot of similarities with Charlotte E. Yeager. Both of them are tall and buxom (and haves the same height), are originating from Liberion, are related with Striker Units (Katharine has lost a lot of Strikers, and Shirley is a mechanic), are bright, sociable and optimist, they are considered beautiful, haves a good relationship with the 'little girl' of the squadron (Ursula and Francesca Lucchini, respectively) and are important characters en their respectively media.
