Kuroda Kunika (黒田那佳?)
Kunika is a witch from Fuso, she is based on Kuroki Tameyoshi (黒木為義).
Background
Kuroda's family is from a former feudal lord family. When the 506th Joint Fighter Wing was formed Kunika was taken to be seen by the main family, to see if she would be adopted into it. Even though she wasn't taken in, her family has much prosperity from the stores it owns in the town where this family branch was born. She wears a light purple hakama, a color which only the noble are allowed to wear.
In one word, Kunika is frivolous, careless like common people. She doesn't have much interest in the upper echelons of society. Because of her bubbly nature she is popular among old people. Her Commanding Officer, Squadron Leader de Grunne would want Kunika to work as a kind of link between the Liberion B-unit and the rest of the 506th, but she doesn't really understand de Grunne's idea.
Kunika was decorated on her first campaign, which was the last years of the Fuso Sea Incident. She was injured and shot down 3 Neuroi. She was away from the front lines for a while because of her injury and she got into military academy where she became Pilot Officer. After that she returned to her home unit, 33rd Aviation Squadron. When the Fuso Sea Incident ended, her squadron that was defending Fuso Sea was immediately sent to Red Sea in a naval fleet escort duty, because of the Neuroi invasion getting worse in Europe.
As the Neuroi invaded North Africa the transport route between Mediterranean Sea and Red Sea was cut, and they fought numerous battles in Persia. When they were protecting oil fields Kunika's kill count steadily grew long. The flow of Neuroi from Egypt seemed to be endless, and the hard battles were always fought with big numbers. But during the slowly back and forth going battles, the Neuroi seemed to be repelled.
