Strike Witches: Maidens in the Sky (ストライクウイッチーズ -天空の乙女たちー?, Sutoraiku Witchīzu Tenkū no Otome-tachi; sometimes also called Maidens of the Heavens) is a manga that was serialized in Comp Ace from March 2008 to January 2009. It has been officially translated in English by Seven Seas Entertainment and also released in Kindle digital books both in Japanese and English. This manga has since been retconned, and no longer considered canon.

It follows Yoshika through the early stages of her military career. In these alternate events, she is recruited by Takei Junko and undergoes some basic training before being sent off to Britannia with Mio. In that respect it differs from the chain of events in the anime. It also prominently features Yoshika's Mame-Shiba familiar Kuji Kanesada, another aspect that does not appear in the anime at all.
