Venezia is the country north of Romagna in the Strike Witches universe. It is based on the Republic of Venice and occupies roughly the same territory as Venice did in the late 19th century.
In 1944 large parts of the country were occupied by the Neuroi, but the sudden appearance of the Super Hive in Spring '45 worsened the situation considerately, giving the scenario for Season 2.
